We request a commitment of 2 months for at least 2 hours a week, to create definite impact for the children. Please take a look at the volunteer positions and locations listed below before applying.

Open volunteer positions

We are looking for volunteers who can fulfil any of the requirements below:

  • Education counsellors: support students in 10th standard and 12th standard / 2nd PUC
  • Volunteer tutors (in person) for Maths, Science, and Social Studies for classes 6-10 in Kannada or English medium. Spoken knowledge of Kannada is not mandatory, but very useful. We are looking for volunteers with passion for teaching using creative methods, patience, and experience working with children.
  • Volunteer tutors (online) to provide one-on-one online tutoring in English, Maths, and Science for classes 6-12
  • Vernacular language storytellers and English language teachers, to develop reading habits and writing skills in the children in Kannada, English, and Hindi.
  • Volunteers with musical ability (singing) are welcome to come in to teach the children songs in various languages.
  • Writer/Narrator for developing educational content - 3 hours a week

  • Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Chamarajpet and Majestic areas, Bengaluru
  • Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health, Jayanagar 1st Block, Bengaluru
  • Samiksha Foundation office, Koramangala, Bengaluru

Volunteering times

  • 9:30am to 1:30pm on weekdays and Saturdays
